We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience. To do so, we are actively working with consultants to update the website by increasing its accessibility and usability by persons who use assistive technologies
such as automated tools, keyboard-only navigation, and screen readers.
We are working to have the website conform to the relevant standards of the Section 508 Web Accessibility Standards developed by the United States Access Board, as
well as the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1. These standards and guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. We believe that conformance with these standards and
guidelines will help make the website more user friendly for all people.
Our efforts are ongoing. While we strive to have the website adhere to these guidelines and standards, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website.
If, at any time, you have specific questions or concerns about the accessibility of any particular webpage, please contact WebsiteAccess@tenethealth.com so that we may be of assistance.

Getting back to normal
Physical therapy uses exercise, massage and various other treatments to help you build strength and improve mobility after an accident, sports injury or surgery. Our physical therapists provide one-on-one attention and can work with you to create a personalized rehab plan so you can get back in shape as fast as possible.
What will my physical therapy be like?
On first glance, physical therapy can be intimidating. Following surgery, you’re pretty aware of your limitations, and physical therapy is designed to eliminate or reduce those limitations. That sounds painful.
Many patients visit us for rehab treatment after they’ve been discharged from the hospital, and our therapists work with them through one of our many outpatient programs. You may have severe migraines and need help making lifestyle changes to reduce them, or maybe you’re an athlete looking to rebuild strength and flexibility after a sports injury so you can get back on the field. No matter what your rehabilitation needs, our outpatient therapists can work with you on a personalized plan to help you lead a happier, healthier life.
Physical therapy at Hialeah Hospital is about setting goals, and walking with you every step of the way towards those goals. We’ll push you to work hard, but the goal is not pain – it’s healing.
If something hurts, don’t hesitate to tell your therapist. A good outcome in physical therapy depends on open and honest conversation between the patient and the therapist.
