Dr. Andrade's Story: Director of Bariatrics

Jun 6, 2019

Changing lives, one patient at a time

Dr. Werner Andrade, Director of Bariatrics, Hialeah Hospital

At Hialeah, we’re proud to offer a bariatric program that helps people get back to a healthy weight and life. One person who knows the program better than anyone is its director, Dr. Werner Andrade.

As director of bariatrics, Dr. Andrade is one of the resident experts in robotic weight-loss surgeries. And let’s just say his life gets a little busier every year.

“Since I started here our bariatrics program has grown even more than I would have expected,” he says. “In just 7 months as director we have the number we did last year, thanks to great teamwork and the amazing care our doctors and nurses give to the patients.”

The growth of the program, and the experience that comes with it, is good news for patients. There is almost nothing these doctors haven’t seen before, and with each new patient comes a better understanding of how to best serve your unique needs.

Surgical expertise matters. So does a comfortable environment.

Dr. Werner recommends that those interested in weight loss surgery should consider Hialeah Hospital. And he doesn’t just say it’s because he is an excellent doctor. He understands that the operation is only a part of your experience.

“Not only do we have amazing patient care, but we also have renovated recovery suites that patients love—they say they are even better than hotel suites—and it’s so nice to provide them to my patients.”

Nicer rooms may seem like a small detail. When it comes to your health and well being, small details matter.
