New Stereotactic Technology Unveiled

HIALEAH, FL -- Hialeah Hospital, a 378-bed acute care hospital, recently unveiled their new Stereotactic campaign featuring new technology that allows physicians to perform minimally invasive procedures such as biopsies.

The new technology stereotactic breast biopsy, is less invasive, allows for a faster recovery time and incurs one-third the cost of previous treatment options. The unveiling took place at Hialeah Hospital’s Andersen Auditorium, where brunch was served to attendees.

Hialeah Hospital also presented General and Vascular Surgeon Jose R. Lamas, MD, FACS with a special proclamation from Florida House of Representative Eddy Gonzalez, State Representative of District 102 honoring his more than 15 years of service to the Hialeah community. Dr. Lamas is a Board Certified General/Vascular Surgeon specializing in breast surgery and stereotactic breast biopsy with over 15 years of experience.

The Mayor of the City of Hialeah, Julio Robaina, was also present and declared February 25th as “Stereotactic Breast Biopsy Awareness Day” in the City of Hialeah.
