Volunteers, a vital part of the hospital, link staff and patients. Volunteers are needed for day, evening and weekend shifts for the information desk, visitor escort and emergency department.
In Admissions, volunteers help the staff with reception, pre-admission testing and patient escort. Volunteers also work in the Family Waiting Area, greeting and supporting families and keeping families notified of patient status.
In Outpatient Services, volunteers support patients and families in units such as the Breast Center, Mammography and Neurology. Emergency Department volunteer duties include patient , family and staff support, delivering specimens, transporting patients and interacting with physicians and other health professionals.
