Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE: THC) announced today that Hialeah Hospital has been selected for recognition in the company's 2007 Circle of Excellence.
The Circle of Excellence honors Tenet hospitals that have performed at the highest levels during the previous year in the areas of quality, service and operation performance. Key elements of the awards process include patient, physician and employee satisfaction scores, clinical quality scores and financial performance.
"The hard work and dedication of the employees at Hialeah Hospital made 2006 a great year for them,"said Stephen Newman, M.D., Tenet's chief operating officer. "I'm proud of all that they accomplished and am thrilled to honor them with Tenetss Circle of Excellence Award."
Dr. Newman also praised the hospital executive team, led by Chief Executive Officer Ron Bierman for his leadership and commitment throughout the past year. In addition to winning its fifth Tenet Circle of Excellence Award, Hialeah Hospital earned numerous third party recognitions in 2006, including being ranked in the Top 5% for Maternity Care (for the third year in a row) by HealthGrades; being named by CIGNA as a Center of Excellence for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, and earning the American Heart Association's Get With The Guidelines award for heart failure and overall participation in the national program.
